Vienna’s in full swing, and Astell&Kern has announced an expansion of the A&ultima flagship player line with the launch of the SP4000T and a new Clarus In-Ear Monitor.
The SP4000T features RAYTHEON JAN6418 MIL-Spec vintage vacuum tubes in a dual-tube structure, each dedicated to the left and right channels, respectively. This is proper channel separation in a Digital Audio Player. The tubes are paired for noise and gain before being implemented in the SP4000T. The SP4000T features the TERATON ALPHA technology, seen in the recently reviewed SP4000.

A&K is also announcing the fourth of their new IEMs, called Clarus, following last year’s news of the single-driver Luna.
Made from 6061-T6 Aluminium, Clarus has a nine-driver architecture comprising Balanced Armature, MEMS, and dynamic drivers for low-end frequencies. Details on pricing will come from Vienna.
