Astell&Kern has this week introduced LUNA to its range of IEMs following the AK ZERO1 and AK ZERO 2.
The Astell&Kern LUNA features a single driver, 13mm unipolar planar magnetic design housed in titanium, with a frequency response of 20Hz-30KHz. It has an SPL of 105 dB at 1 kHz (1 mW) and a lower planar magnetic impedance of just 5 Ω at 1 kHz.
The Astell&Kern LUNA is co-designed with MADOO. The driver is called Katabiki (片響), which is housed in a CNC-machined aluminium shell. The diaphragm’s weight is very light, as it is printed with an aluminium pattern. Katabiki promises a fast response and resolution in its design. Performance is optimised with LUNA’s silver-coated OCC and copper OCC cable.
The Astell&Kern LUNA is now available from select stockists, with a suggested retail price of £ 2,699, $2,700, or €3,049.
