✨Coming Up on HF&MS

This month, we have many exciting reviews lined up from our writers this month.  Chris Beeching will be reviewing the new Musical Fidelity M5xi integrated amplifier this month. Ian is reviewing the Connected Fidelity AC-2K, a high-performance balanced mains power supply and conditioner designed to clean up electricity for home audio and video systems.  He also has a few cartridges lined up, notably from Sumiko and Pro-Ject.

I have the Martin Logan Foundation F1 loudspeakers in place as well as the 3-way Piega Premium 701 Gen 2 floorstanders.  I will also be writing about the new two-box Pulsus II phono stage by AVID HiFi, reviewed with the wonderful AVID Ingenium SE.

On top of that, it is Awards Season; do look out for the daily awards coming soon.

🎵 New Music

There’s always a surprise in music, and this month it is the synth tones of Fontaines DC, who are all grown up now.  It’s a strong album featuring a guest collaboration with ROSALĂŤA from last month’s album of the month.  Other albums to consider this month include Johnny Marr’s new album and Kojey Radical, who had a Mercury Nomination, I think, though he lost out to the well-deserving RAYE.  Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black has been reissued on its 20th Anniversary; where did that time go? Finally, whilst drafting this newsletter, I’m listening to the new Editors album, which has a slightly more acoustic sound than their previous offerings.
