Musical Fidelity M5xi & M6xi Integrated Amplifiers Announced

In the last week, distributor Henley Audio has announced the Musical Fidelity M5xi & M6xi, new class-leading amplifiers that join the M-Series. Neither the Musical Fidelity M5xi nor the M6xi supports streaming platforms; however, they do have a DAC. Instead, they are pure integrated amplifiers derived from Musical Fidelity’s legendary TITAN amplifier.

Both the Musical Fidelity M5xi & M6xi have low-distortion Darlington output stages with 60W (M5xi) / 220W (M6xi) per-channel output into 8 Ohms.  There are optical, coaxial, and HDMI inputs, and a USB-C DAC input that supports up to 24-bit/192kHz.

The M5xi is  £2,099.00 (SRP) and the M6xi is  £2,699.00 (SRP).  The Musical Fidelity M5xi and M6xi are shipping in limited quantities in the UK during May 2026. Full details are on the Henley Audio website.

The M6xi is built around a proven amplifier topology, derived from the legendary Musical Fidelity TITAN power amplifier.  Configured internally as two independent mono power amps, with a separate pre-amp, the model employs a low-distortion Darlington output stage. By using premium components throughout the signal path, this design ensures exceptional stability, authority, and musical control up to 220W per channel (320W at 4Ω).

In addition to a Texas Instruments PCM5242 DAC chip, the M6xi features a high-quality MM/MC phono stage with enhanced internal isolation and shielding. The full specification is on the website, but the inputs are comprehensive and include RCA, Phono, XLR, HDMI, Coax, Optical, and USB-C.
