Marantz announced this week a new AV preamplifier and power amplifier combination that incorporates their iconic porthole display. These new models build on the award-winning AV 10 and AMP 10 combination and the Cinema 30 AV receiver.
The Flagship AV 20 feeds 13.4 channels, via XLR or RCA output and it features the latest HEOS multi-room platform, allowing access to streaming services, including Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2™ and Bluetooth. The AMP 20 is configured as a 12-channel power amplifier with 200 watts per channel (8 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 0.05 % with two channels driven). It features the SHARC dual-core DSP chipset to support 32-bit two-channel DACs with dedicated jitter reduction. The combination supports Dolby Atmos, IMAX Enhanced, DTS: X Pro and AURO-3D. The units support 8K with 7 HDMI inputs and 3 HDMI outputs.

The AV 2 13.4ch AV preamplifier is priced at £4750 (€5500). The AMP 20 12-channel amplifier is £4750 (€5500), and they are available from May 20th from selected retailers.
