Unison Research SH Headphone Amplifier Launched in the UK
Unison Research has today announced that the new Unison Research SH Headphone Amplifier is now available to order in the UK. The Unison Research SH is a two stage full valve headphone amplifier designed to work with traditional analogue sources and modern computer based USB Audio. The rear shot shows the two input lines available and the USB ESS Sabre DAC supports 384kHz PCM at upto 32 bits and DSD128 . The front panel is wooden and comes in black or cherry. You can see the input selector is a switch on the front. Output sensitivity is similarly placed on the front panel for differing headphone requirements. The input stage features an ECC83 valve and the output stage uses an EL84 valve. Now this is obviously beyond my realms but for sure the valve characteristics will shine through even modest or certainly the highest quality headphones. The Unison Research SH has two headphone outputs, slightly necessary but interesting no-the less.
The Unison Research SH headphone amplifier is retailing at £1,250. For a list of approved retailers see where to buy, at Henley Designs here.
