With a decade’s worth of Lemon Twigs albums in the rearview mirror, one certainty has been established. Barring some unforeseen circumstance, the D’Addario brothers can always be counted on to deliver a potent sonic cocktail containing their effervescent updates of ’60s/early-’70s psych-pop, glam, power pop, and folk-rock, each in varying amounts. Look for Your Mind! is no exception.

While Brian and Michael hit all their customary goal posts here at various points, it feels like they had more Beach Boys on the brain than usual when cobbling these tunes together. For instance, the beat, opening riff, and complex vocal harmonies of “2 or 3” are almost inseparable from the Wilson clan’s mid-’60s salad days.
