Ifi Audio has today announced an update to the GO blu, the GO blu Air.  Designed for everyday optimisation of wired headphones, the new GO Blu Air features an upgraded Bluetooth circuit that separates Bluetooth reception from the DAC and twin mono amplification.

The GO blu Air features a Qualcomm QCC5144 chipset, which is used solely for Bluetooth reception.  This signal is passed to a Hi-Res Cirrus Logic MasterHIFI DAC, which then passes the two-channel signal to a twin mono amplifier, delivering 256mW of power to drive any headphones with iFi’s S-Balanced technology, which reduces crosstalk for IEMs.

A new detachable magnetic clip is integrated directly into the chassis, whilst retaining the same form factor of the original GO blu.  The GO blu Air features a built-in MEMS microphone, enabling hands-free calls.  The Go blu Air retains the XBass and XSpace iFi functions, and it claims 10 hours of battery usage is available
