Hot on the heels of our recent review of the McIntosh C2800 preamplifier, news of the streamer you needed with it, the DS200 Streaming DAC.
The DS200 Streaming DAC is compatible with Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Google Cast and is also a Roon Ready endpoint. The DS200 features a Quad Balanced 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC).
In addition, the DS200 Streaming DAC has eight digital audio inputs, supporting DSD512 and DXD up to 384kHz via USB, and 24-bit/192kHz via coax and optical inputs. It also features HDMI (ARC) input, converting multi-channel AV input into two channels.
The DS200 Streaming DAC will be available in March through authorized McIntosh dealers with an MSRP of £5,890 GBP / €5,990 EUR. McIntosh is distributed in the UK by Fine Sounds UK.
