News this week, yesterday really, of the new 2022 generation of McIntosh integrated amplifiers.  There are two, called MA8950 and MA9500.  They benefit from an upgrade in supply components that offer a lower floor and a Roon tested Digital Audio Module.  This DA2 supports 32 bits and eight channels and has upgraded DSD support via USB.

The MA9500 has a manual 8 band tone control across the frequencies

The MA9500 claims to offer 300W per channel from 10 analogue inputs (two balanced) plus a MM/MC with adjustable inputs.  The MA8950 (main picture) claims 200W per channel with slightly fewer inputs.  Both amplifiers have a manual tone control adjustment as well as several McIntosh proprietary technologies, including Power Guard which is a technology that ensures full power is delivered to the speakers regardless of impedance.
