Having just recorded a ‘Short’ YouTube video on the all-in-one Ruark R410, news from Cambridge Audio said that they are releasing something very similar, called the Evo One.

The Cambridge Audio Evo One has a larger 173mm screen than the Ruark, with the option of displaying VU Meters, album artwork, or a clock.  Of course, the Naim Mu-so has no screen at all.  The Cambridge Audio Evo One is compatible with Google Home, Apple Airplay and Roon multiroom systems.  The unit supports Bluetooth, Google Cast and Apple AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. The Evo One has a moving-magnet (MM) phono stage as well.

The Evo One has 14 drivers,  4 x 1″ silk dome tweeters, 4 x 2.25″ aluminium cone mid-range, and 6 x 2.75″ long-throw woofers.  These drivers are powered by 700W of Class D amplification.  The StreamMagic App controls the Evo One, which is also used with the Evo 150, the AXN 10, and the Edge NQ.

Matt Dore, Chief Technical Officer of Cambridge Audio, says of the Evo One;

Our aim was to distil our decades of expertise in sound and streaming into a user-friendly, one-box experience. Evo One achieves all that and so much more. Aesthetically as well as sonically and functionally, it truly enriches every space and occasion.

The Evo One is 675 x 129 x 290mm (26.6 x 5.1 x 11.4″), and 14.5kg (32lbs). The Cambridge Audio Evo One is available at cambridgeaudio.com and approved retailers, priced at £1299/€1499/$1499.
