Kudos Announces Liquid Amber Veneer for Titan

Liquid Amber Veneer

Kudos’ Titan 505 loudspeakers on their bespoke stand

Well, breaking news today, of a new finish in the Kudos Titan range, called Liquid Amber which replaces the Tineo finish that is difficult to source responsibly. And more than that:

You (HF&MS) have the first pair of Liquid Amber finish out of the factory!

This is very exciting news as the speakers only arrived on Friday. I must say I did think the finish was rather classy for a review pair (being used to the usual black or white, which is fine by the way) but now I know these are even more special than I thought. The veneer comes from a tree in the US called Liquidambar styraciflua.  There is an emphasis on sustainability and that can only be a good thing.

Otherwise, the Kudos Titan loudspeakers are available in four standard finishes: Walnut, Natural Oak, Black Oak, and Liquid Amber.  The cabinet retains the HDF high-density structure with panels attached at the side to “manage energy transmission from the core cabinet into the outer side panel”.

Derek Gilligan commented,

Liquid Amber was an excellent discovery after a long search to find a visually arresting and high-quality veneer that can be responsibly / sustainably sourced.
