Audiovector QR 7 launched at Munich
Last week, in Munich, Audiovector launched their new QR 7 loudspeaker which is set to be the flagship of the new QR series. The QR 7 matches with siblings the QR Sub and the QR Centre as well as the QR Wall.
MD of Renaissance, John Carroll, said:
This is a fantastic new loudspeaker and the perfect way to herald Renaissance’s exclusive UK distribution of Audiovector products. I love its powerful performance and the striking cabinet design. Our customers are fun folk, and they are really going to enjoy getting down to the QR 7 sound.
The QR 7 houses two 8 inch drivers in a three-way design that also features a 6 inch midrange driver and an ‘agile’ Air Motion Transformer tweeter. Handmade in Denmark, Audiovector focuses on its own driver designs and then finds the best suppliers to build them. This enables them to find the best combinations with its crossovers. Utilising heavily braced HDF cabinets, Audiovector certainly has a distinctive look. Watch this space and we’ll see if we can get a review sample.
The QR 7 is available in a choice of three finishes: White Silk, Dark Walnut and Black Piano. It is retailing at £4950 per pair. They are distributed by Renaissance Audio.
