Hi-Fi Doctor (hifidoctor.co.uk) announced this week an exclusive UK distribution agreement with Seismion, a German manufacturer specialising in advanced mechatronic systems and vibration technology. Hi-Fi Doctor has over fifty years of AV experience in the UK.

Siesmion is a company with expertise in designing, developing, and constructing solutions for precise vibration control in industrial applications such as semiconductor production and metrology. They are now applying this knowledge in the high-end audio industry. Many audio products, such as valves and other components, can be affected by microphonics, as of course are turntables.
Seismion is introducing two new products, the Reactio 2 and the Reactio 2 XL. Both use highly sensitive piezoelectric sensors that detect even the most minute vibrations, after which an analogue electronic control system generates precise counter forces, minimising distortions and noise. Siesmion claims that its technology can reduce the noise floor in amplifiers by half compared to its previous, ground-breaking, Reactio Plus units.

A Hi-Fi Doctor spokesperson said:
The availability of the Reactio 2 in the UK marks a new opportunity for British audiophiles to experience a professional-grade solution for vibration isolation, designed to enhance the purity of audio in high-performance systems. As a new audio distributor to the UK with 50 years’ collective experience, we’re delighted to be the exclusive agent for this prestigious leader in the field of vibration technology. Customers can discover Seismion now via retailers Studio AV and Lotus Hi-Fi, with new dealers planned for the near future.
The Reactio 2 is 500mm x 400mm and weighs 154.5kg. It can support up to 65kg. It is priced at £10250. The Reactio 2 XL is 600mm x 500mm with a payload up to 150kg. It is priced at £12750. They are both available now, with customised colours and finishes available upon request
