TRPTK HiRes Website
This is interesting, I have received a download of some very beautiful music by Lotte Bovi and l’Ora Blù titled Vibrant Venice. The website features fairly niche (my opinion!) classical pieces and some jazzy stuff. Formats available in many cases include SACD, Vinyl, CD and Spacial Audio editions.
It is clearly all very beautifully produced. With each recording, you receive a download and a comprehensive booklet with details of the recording and the equipment used in the recording process. So for example microphones and amplifiers used in the monitoring process are detailed. In the case of Vibrant Venice, they’ve used a Hegel C55 power amplifier and KEF LS50 Meta loudspeakers!
The TRPTL website is worth a peruse if only because you can download some premium music at the bit and sample rates I certainly do not have. I have downloaded, as well, the 9-Year Anniversary Sampler (TRPTK 24-bit, 176kHz) which is a nicely curated introduction to TRPTK.
Hilariously, on the first of April TRPTK announced a hi-resolution audiophile recording called ‘An Hour of Nothing‘, or silence recorded at 64 bits and 352.8kHz, well I fell for it anyway. I’m going to download it and use it for my Naim Audio reviews that are up and coming :-)!
