Roksan K3 DAC Announced
Henley Designs last week announced the launch of the new Roksan K3 DAC, to add to the high specification K3 range that includes the K3 integrated amplifier and CD player. It will deliver a high resolution digital solution with bags of flexibility.
Roksan K3 DAC Information
The DAC features the Texas Instruments DSD1794A Advanced DAC architecture that supports PCM 24-bit / 192kHz and DSD 64 and DSD 128 (DoP). There is loads of flexibility in respect of inputs and outputs as follows:
Inputs
1 x AES3 / SPDIF XLR (up to 192kHz)
1 x SPDIF Optical Toslink (up to 192kHz) 1 x SPDIF Coaxial RCA (up to 192kHz)
1 x Rear Panel USB-B
1 x Front Panel USB-B
1 x Wireless K-LINK Receiver
Outputs
1 x XLR pair
2 x RCA pair
The K-Link referred to in the inputs is a wireless dongle also announced last week. The K-Link will stream wirelessly from a source, for example a PC, in the highest resolutions. So for example it sounds like you could stream Tidal from a PC through the K-Link into the Roksan K3 DAC and then through to you amplifier. The K-Link is available separately at £125.
The K3 DAC is available in the same three finishes as other K3 Series products; Anthracite, Charcoal and Opium. Control over inputs can be achieved via the front panel or through the supplied R7 System Remote, which also works with the K3 CD players and K3 Integrated Amplifier.
The Roksan K3 DAC SRP is £1,250.00. The Roksan K3 DAC is available in the UK now. For a list of all approved Roksan retailers, visit the ‘Where To Buy’ section of henleydesigns.co.uk
