News this week from Audio Technica, bringing 60 years’ worth of audio expertise from Japan.  They have announced the AT-LP7X turntable.  This is a fully manual belt-drive turntable with a contemporary, minimalistic design.

The AT-LP7X comes pre-mounted with the AT-VM95E cartridge in black on a AT-LT10 headshell

The AT-LP7X Turntable comes in a matte black finish, with a dense MDF (medium-density fibreboard) plinth and a 20 mm acrylic platter, standing on spring-based isolation feet.  This arrangement, Audio Technica says, is combined to;

dampen resonance and vibration, ensuring minimised transmission of mechanical noise and oscillations for a more accurate reproduction of the recording

The turntable features a J-shaped aluminium tonearm inspired by Audio-Technica models from the 1960s and ’70s. Additionally, the turntable is;

equipped with a dual-axis gimbal and precision bearings, it offers low-friction tracking and stability.

The AT-LP7X is sold with a pre-mounted AT-VM95E cartridge in black on a AT-LT10 headshell.

The AT-LP7X Turntable has a built-in switchable phono pre-amplifier that supports both MM and MC cartridges.

Additionally, Audio Technica notes;

Customisation is at the heart of the AT-LP7X. Vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment, anti-skate control, and additional subcounterweight allow compatibility with a wide range of cartridges and headshells.

They add that the stylus can be easily swapped with any VM95 Series replacement.
