In the last couple of weeks, Atlas Cables has announced a new topology for some of their cable lineup, reminiscent of the Ultra L (Latik) upgrade. I think we can expect it to roll out across the range, but that’s just my speculation.

This Duo symmetrical topology moves Atlas’ balanced interconnect design forward with individually screened signal and return conductors, each using its own precision-woven OFC screen, and a cable twist to improve EMI performance further. The cables are finished in a titanium grey fabric, with dark chrome Ultra L plugs. Both of the conductors are Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper.
The Duo topology is now available for the Atlas Ailsa Duo (both XLR and RCA) and Atlas Hyper Duo (XLR).

In addition to the Duo announcement, Atlas has also unveiled a new Headphone cable and a new power cable. The Atlas Zeno Seraphic is the latest headphone cable, and the new power cable is called Eos Superior 2.5em.
The Eos Superior 2.5em is an upgraded power cable featuring low-resistance 2.5mm² OFC conductors and multilayered RF screening. Their dual-drain termination is also present, designed to quickly and efficiently dump RF noise to earth. The power cable features anti-vibration damping.
The Zeno Seraphic headphone cable features Ohno Continuous Cast copper conductors and a wideband FEP Dielectric. It also features a soft PVC inner liner and a fabric-covered outer jacket for tangle-free daily use. Terminations and specific lengths can be ordered to suit individual needs.
