Album of the Week

The Great Divide

Noah Kahan (Tidal 24-bit, 96kHz)

Noah Kahan returns with The Great Divide, an album shaped by reflection and emotional reckoning. Rooted in his personal history, the record explores complicated relationships with family and friends, a changing connection to his native Vermont, and the quiet gaps created by things left unsaid.

Throughout the album, Kahan focuses on the emotional distance that can form between people over time, examining how silence and unspoken truths alter the way we relate to one another and to the places that once felt fixed. The songs balance intimacy with restraint, drawing power from honesty rather than excess.

The Great Divide was produced by long-time collaborator Gabe Simon, alongside Aaron Dessner, bringing together familiar creative chemistry with a fresh perspective that supports the album’s reflective tone.
