This week’s news is from True Colours Industries, a UK (Northern Ireland) based technology company behind TCI Cables.  TCI has launched a new range of inert podiums designed to optimise the performance of audio devices.  There are six, in various sizes, starting at £350 and rising to £1350.

The team at TCI realised that many isolation platforms failed to recognise the noise from the source device, concentrating on isolating the product from external vibrations such as loudspeakers.  TCI has set about finding a solution that deals with the common low-level frequencies from in-room acoustics as well as the internal components’ noises from transformers, motors, transports, and electronics, which are often not considered.

There are six variants of the Podium, numbered simply one to six. Ascending, each offers greater performance and, therefore, better sound quality. The sleek design ensures it looks at home under almost any component, whether on a dedicated equipment rack or a sideboard. The material used is a combination of materials laminated to form a ‘Vibratium Core’, which is housed in a magnesium alloy outer shell.

TCI claims;

…utilising TCI Podiums helps a system reveal more layers of information and detail, tighten up lower frequencies and increase speed and dynamics of the performance, whilst also enhancing the rhythm and musicality of the music

About TCI

TCI Cables have been manufactured for high-quality Hi-Fi systems for over 25 years. The first product, a TCI Cobra, was designed in 1993 and, although refined over the years, remains largely true to its original design. It is still widely regarded as a reference-quality interconnect.

TCI use Aerospace technology in their cables to gain significant audio advantages over the majority of cable manufacturers. These technologies ensure not only better sound, but also consistent long-term performance. All products are proudly  manufactured in the UK.
