Today, Marantz announced a new high-end MODEL 10 integrated amplifier. In the coming period, the amplifier will be joined by a new SACD 10 player and a LINK 10n reference network audio Player.
The MODEL 10 Reference Integrated Amplifier is the first reference high-end stereo component Marantz has released since 2016. The powerplant has been developed with Purifi and operates fully balanced from input to output. Marantz claims distortion is less than 0.05% across the entire frequency band, and the unit offers 30A of peak current. Power output is claimed to be 250w into 8 ohm speaker loads, rising to 500w with 4 ohm designs.
Inputs to the MODEL 10 integrated amplifier include two XLR balanced inputs, three RCA analogue inputs and a high-quality phono stage (with both MM and three impedance options for broad MC compatibility). The unit will be complemented on the digital side by the network player and the SACD, which their HEOS App will manage.
The Marantz MODEL 10 reference integrated amplifier will be available for $15,000, €14,500, £12,000.
