LIRIC 2nd Generation
There is a choice of cables with the LIRIC 2nd Generation

Meze Audio is today announcing the LIRIC 2nd Generation.  Their premium closed-back headphone has had an update based on feedback from their customers.  There is a new QWRM (Quarter Wavelength Resonator Mask) which is a metal plate over the driver frame that Meze claims;

…attenuates high-frequency peaks above 7kHz for a smoother listening experience.

The LIRIC 2nd Generation also has leather-clad earcups now presented in a striped Macassar ebony wood.

Meze Audio’s founder and lead designer, Antonio Meze said;

Developing great headphones means listening to a lot of music, but also listening to our community carefully, too! LIRIC was already an impressive headphone but based on feedback from our customers and reviewers we’ve taken its capabilities to new heights with the new LIRIC 2nd Generation.

The LIRIC 2nd Generation retain the Rinaro planar magnetic technology in the original LIRIC, reviewed by HF&MS in February 2022 here.  This technology trickles down from the Empyrean and the Elite headphones.

LIRIC 2nd Generation will be available starting March 7th, on mezeaudio.com, mezeaudio.eu and in selected retailers worldwide, with a suggested retail price of £1850.
