News from our favourite Norwegian speaker specialist, Arendal Sound, today, who has unveiled a new 1610 Series. The series is an evolution of the flagship 1528 and offers a tower, bookshelf, centre, and close-to-wall options. The units are available in Arendal’s signature basalt and polar finishes. HF&MS reviewed the 1723 THX Monitor 8 and the subwoofer last year.
The 1610 Series features the Tower 8, a floorstanding three-way loudspeaker, and the 1610 Bookshelf 8, a compact three-way loudspeaker designed to deliver full-range performance in small and medium-sized rooms. There is also a 1610 Slim 8, a slimline three-way loudspeaker designed for on-wall or close-to-wall installation, and a 1610 Centre 8, a three-way centre-channel design.

The range is priced with the following indicated prices on the site;
1610 Tower 8 £5,900, 1610 Bookshelf 8 £2,800, 1610 Slim 8 £2,200, 1610 Centre 8 £1,800.
Full international pricing for each model is available on the Arendal Sound website. The products come with Arendal’s 60-day home audition, free returns (USA and EU mainland), a 10-year warranty and direct support from the Arendal Sound team.
Deliveries are expected to begin in early March.
