Best of 2025

It’s that time of year when we look back and reflect on the products that have caught our eye or our ear!  The contenders for Product of the Year will emerge in the next two weeks, and the complete list of contenders is here. The full list includes all of the reviews completed here at HF&MS in 2025.  The Best of 2025 awards are not necessarily the best audiophile products, but rather the ones that had the most tremendous impact.

The first award goes to one of the earliest contenders for Product of the Year.  Back in January, the Focal DIVA UTOPIA arrived, the stereo was cleared out, and I spent a month wallowing in wonderful, room-filling, clutter-free sound.  It was truly a defining experience.  The review highlights are below.
