McIntosh announced today the launch of a Bluetooth Transceiver called MB25. The unit is designed to receive Bluetooth signals from smartphones and tablets, seamlessly integrating them into your HiFi system. Additionally, the MB25 can connect to a CD player (or any digital source) or a turntable (any analogue source) and transmit Bluetooth to headphones or wireless loudspeakers. The MB25 boasts Class 1 Bluetooth 5.0 technology with a range of 45.7 meters. However, the MB25 is not a DAC.
The MB25 supports high-fidelity Bluetooth codecs such as AAC and aptX HD. The unit comes in an aluminium chassis with a black glass front panel and an illuminated McIntosh logo.
The MB25 Bluetooth Receiver will be available in July through authorised UK McIntosh dealers with an SRP £850.
