This weekend, Falcon Acoustics unveils its new M range at the UK Audio Show. Falcon is well known for its association with reproducing the ‘BBC standard’ LS3/5a style of the loudspeaker.
The 2-way M10 features a 5-inch Falcon B110 bass unit, that apparently replicates the KEF B110 used by the classic LS3/5a monitor. There is also a 25mm ‘M’ range soft dome tweeter made to Falcon’s specification by SEAS.
The 3-way floorstanding M50 has a proprietary Falcon B139 bass unit, two of the Falcon B110 units for the midrange and the same 25mm ‘M’ range soft dome tweeter. Both of the products are vented and are both available in a natural walnut veneer, there is a special rosewood option.
Falcon Acoustics’ MD Jerry Bloomfield says:
the ‘M’ range is designed with one objective in mind: to present a range of speakers appealing to those who desire the qualities of a traditionally voiced British speaker, which draw the musicians into the room and allow the listener to engage with music again.
Typical retail prices pair including VAT are M10 Walnut: £2,395.00 and M50 Walnut: £12,795.00.
The M10 is available from November 2022, and the M50 from December 2022.
Falcon Acoustics will reveal the new ‘M’ range this weekend on October 8-9 at the Buckingham Suite, UK Audio Show, Staverton Park Hotel and Golf Club, Daventry NN11 6JT.
