MOON has announced an upgrade to its £2,950 280D Streaming DAC with a full house of connectivity as Spotify Connect is added to the wi-fi streaming options alongside Apple AirPlay 2. Its inclusion adds the popular music provider to the list of on-demand services already onboard to join Deezer HiFi, Qobuz Sublime+ as well as Tidal Masters and enables the network music player to be compatible with other Spotify Connect devices around the home. The MOON 280D Streaming DAC continues to offer playback support for DSD files up to DSD256 and PCM support up to 32-bit/384kHz, all controlled via the excellent Moon MiND 2 platform to seamlessly integrate your digital music content.

The MOON 280D Streaming DAC provides five physical digital inputs including: AES/EBU, 2x S/PDIF, 2x TosLink and a USB-B port. Bluetooth wireless with aptX support and wi-fi and Ethernet network streaming connectivity are also catered for. There are balanced stereo outputs as well as the usual stereo RCAs.

Available in a black or MOON’s signature two-tone finish (main picture), the 280D is designed and manufactured in Canada and comes with a 10-year warranty.
