Monitor Audio has launched a new Monitor Audio Silver series, drawing from technology in the flagship Platinum II series. The new Monitor Audio Silver series has completely redesigned gold dome tweeters for a smooth treble and it is paired with RST driver technology.
Top of the Monitor Audio Silver series range is the floor standing Monitor Audio Silver 500 (above), with the 9 model range tapering to a stand mounted Monitor Audio Silver 50. They are a two channel option in a very competitive price point but with 40 years of experience, Monitor Audio are pretty confident with this launch. They look good too. I heard the Platinum II series at Bristol this year and what a sound! There is a Silver centre channel option and the dedicated Silver powered subwoofer that can be combined to a multi-channel solution at an affordable price.
The range features handcrafted cabinets in a bunch of 6 different finishes from lacquered white and black to Rose-nut.
