Pro-Ject Announce 6 Perspex SB turntable
Well, this looks very nice, the new turntable from Pro-Ject is the Pro-Ject 6 Perspex SB. The Pro-Ject 6 Perspex has been a well-established product for a number of years, now it gets a re-boot with several enhancements to boost performance. Based on the proven design of its predecessor, the new turntable features a superior motor to add the final touch to performance.
The old 6 Perspex featured the Corian sub-chassis which was isolated from the main plinth by opposing magnets that created a floating, isolated platform, free from any unwanted vibrations. The ‘6’ was always Pro-Jects higher end turntable and it is a serious contender at the higher end, now. The Pro-Ject 6 Perspex SB features a 9CC Evolution tonearm, a one-piece conical hollow carbon fibre tube.
Announced last week, the SRP is £1,300.00.
The Pro-Ject 6 Perspex SB is available in the UK now.
UK customers can have an Ortofon Quintet Black S or Cadenza Red cartridge installed for extra. Quintet Black S (for extra £400.00) or Cadenza Red (for extra £550.00) “package” offer Terms & Conditions apply.
