Rega RP6, separate power supply

Oooh, look at this.  Arrived yesterday and set-up this morning, this is the Rega RP6.  It is beautiful to hold, this one is in a red ‘piano finish’.  Supplied with a Rega Exact moving magnet cartridge the RP6 and retailing £400 more than my own RP3, it feels well worth the additional money.  Immediately you notice the power supply is separate from the turntable, the interconnects are more substantial and the platter is made of two pieces.

I’m going to run this in for a few days then report back with a full review, however my first listen, ‘Telegraph Road’ by Dire Straits was absolutely superb, with a huge bass presentation effortlessly delivered by the Naim NAP 250 set-up I am currently using.
