Alogic has sent me a USB C ALOGIC docking station for my DELL XPS and in a stroke my desktop is tidy and I can now wire up that display I’ve had in the corner for ages. I can now have the press release on one side, email or other on one screen and I can have my working WordPress screen on the main screen, this saves the planet and a print out every time, brilliant.  It all just flippin’ works.

I also have a scanner here that I’m always plugging in, unplugging, etc. so this is really great.   I can just leave it plugged in all the time.

I’ve been sent the ALOGIC docking station Dock PLUS.  ALOGIC says:

There is also an Apple USB C Dock Nano Gen 2 that complements the industrial design of the MacBook range.  I apparently sticks to the side of a MacBook.  Cool, shame the Macbook isn’t as good as an XPS but you can’t have it all!!!

Quality

The Dock PLUS I have is heavy-ish with a brushed aluminium finish, the network adapter is on the end which helps as it falls off my desk.  This feels good enough to me.

Overall

I’m delighted with this, I’m constantly fiddling with peripherals but with this I can now just go to my desk, plug and go with two screens as a bonus.  Although my rating scheme is for HiFi this is an easy buy recommendation.  It just works.
