Loads of crazy stuff going on in Las Vegas at the annual junket known as CES (see nearest TV news channel) but important news from Arcam, they have updated the irDAC, which is really exciting.  And it will be known as the irDAC II, and it is said to be ‘a substantial jump in performance’.  If you look back at my previous review you’ll have noted I would have liked a bit of Bluetooth connectivity and this is promised in the irDAC II.  Other improvements include new circuits and a major DAC upgrade, an audiophile headphone amplifier stage, and DSD support.
