84 – Buffalo Springfield Again

Buffalo Springfield

Really enjoyable West Coast Psychedelic rock sound.  There are many styles of music in this album and the eclectic feel was a symptom of the recording process where Neil Young was often absent.  There were tensions and conflicting ambitions between The Byrds, The Hollies and these guys that led to Crosby (The Byrds), Stills (Buffalo Springfield) and Nash (The Hollies) gathering and forming the super folk-rock group.  They were later famously joined by Neil Young (of Buffalo Springfield and Crazy Horse fame) in June 1969.

Released – Oct 1967

Favourite Track – Rock & Roll Woman (safe choice, not too much outstanding tbh)

Rating –  6.5
